Located next to one of Kanagawa's most renown parks, the Sankeien Garden, is a restaurant that boasts of tradition and history. Rinka-en, has been in business for decades. A very unique feature of this restaurant is that it is housed in a 600-year-old that was originally located in Izu Peninsula and then moved to its current location in 1930. As one enters into the restaurant, one is able to feel and experience what a traditional Japanese home as it were several centuries past.
The food here is served in Kaiseki style, where individual dishes are served one by one. Patrons are able to enjoy a wonderful view of spectacular garden filled with various trees and flowers or appreciate the traditional Japanese decor.
Meals start 4,000 Japanese yen for lunch and 10,000 dinner. The place features a large room able to accomodate a party of 30 or if one prefers a more private and intimate dining experience, smaller rooms are available.Please contact to make reservations at least three days in advance.
Hours of operation: 11 am to 8 pm; Open everyday execpt for Wednesday.
